Review

This is a short read, only 35 pages. But, it is packed full of valuable insight. 

Eloise looses her daughter and her husband in a tragic accident. As she and her youngest daughter work through their grief and learn to survive, Eloise experiences a psychic vision. 

Through these visions, Eloise extends a helping hand to people in need. This helps Eloise learn to cope with her own grief and the grief of her daughter. 

This is a story about overcoming tragedy, helping each other and family. 

I have not read this author in a long time.  I have no idea why I quit…I will pick her back up. This is a an impressive read in more ways than one.

Review

This is about as close as I get to paranormal.  Ghosts, seances, and psychics really fascinate me. This book has all of that and more. With carriage chases, real ghosts and bees (yes! I said bees!), it is a real page turner.  

This book is set right after the Civil War and has a lot of history folded into the story. Edward is a reporter with a strange assignment.  He needs to write an exposé about Philadelphia’s mediums. This leads him to Lucy Collins. Needless to say, these two have an adventure like no other. 

This book is mesmerizing! All the mediums and magic keep the reader engrossed and Edward’s history is a huge plus to the story.  There are a few areas in the tale that are a little much. The lives of bees(at least it’s not snakes) tends to go on a little longer than necessary. But, this is a minor issue!

This would make a great movie.  As I was reading, I could picture a lot of the scenes on the big screen.  Very realistic for a ghost, medium, magic book!

The Frailty of Things by Tamsen Schultz

REVIEW

Kit is a very independent woman hiding her past. She finally has her life set just as she likes it. Then Chris, her brother, and Derrick, his business partner, show up at her door and fireworks fly. 

I started out really disliking her brother. But, as the story moves along, the reader begins to understand the motivation behind his attitude and actions. Garret and Kit have excellent chemistry and heat up the pages nicely.

 With the action and the romance, this story kept me enchanted. There were places in the plot that could be more clear and smooth. However, I had a hard time putting this one down. It moves quickly and Is entertaining. 

The name of the book fits the story extremely well. It is also part of a series. I have not read the other books and did not feel lost. I will pick up the rest in the series soon. 

 Plus it is a lend me at B&N!

Fur Babies part 1

Well it has been an interesting week in the blog world!! WordPress shut me down because they were not happy with some of the blog tours. They classified them as spamming…so needless to say everything has been deleted off my blog.. I get to start fresh and new!!

My first post is about fur babies!! What could be better!! I have a friend who wanted an album of her fur babies. This is not the completed album. This is just one side.  The other side will be completed and ribbon added to each tag. I will post part 2 in a couple of weeks!!
