Charlotte and Sam are con artists. They seem like the perfect couple. They travel on cruise ships and pretend all is great in their world. All the while, they are stealing everything they can get their hands on. Then Sam double crosses Charlotte. So, Charlotte does all she can do. She turns her life around and takes up a legit job. Sam is out of her life and she is on the straight and narrow. Until…Sam starts to send her ominous texts. Her life is no longer what she wants it to be…

This is a book which, if I put it down, I did not care if I picked it back up. It is not a story which kept me wanting more. But, I feel like if I had been able to read it in one sitting, I would have made more of a connection to the characters. It was just a slow go for me. I did enjoy all the destinations. And there are quite a few twists and turns. So, read it and form your own opinion.

Constance must find a husband or she is going to lose all her inheritance. Such a stupid law! She has been selling illegal firearms to stay afloat. so, she does what she has to do. She throws herself a lavish party in hope of meeting a new husband. Instead, she meets US spy scientist, J.F. Trusdale. Constance may have met her match…in more ways than one.

Well, this was not at all what I was expecting. It is a steampunk romance. I do not think I have ever read one of those. As a matter of fact…I avoid them at all costs. But to tell you the truth, this was just plain cute!

Constance is a hoot! She is tough and just a bit strange. Add in the American scientist, Trusdale, and their antics will have you laughing one minute and rolling your eyes the next!

Nora is struggling to succeed in the world of publishing. She just can’t seem to get the job she dreams of. When her company down sizes, she decides to take matters in her own hands. She moonlights for a competing publishing company. Throw in a handsome author with a decision to make into the pot…and Nora has a world of trouble.

This story drags in places. I had such high hopes for this book. I wanted more book references and basically more interaction between Nora and Andrew. Both are good characters and have a connection, even if I wanted to pinch Nora’s head off most of the time. The story is mostly about Nora’s job and her inability to make ends meet. But, have no fear…it all comes together in the end. It definitely ended on a great note!

Kayla and her husband have built their dream home. It is where they plan to spend the rest of their lives and raise a family, until her husband has a fatal accident in the home. Kayla is left floundering. Can she move in, can she continue on. Then she has a strange visitor. A mysterious woman shows up at her place of work. She basically threatens Kayla and her daughter to stay away from her new home.

This novel is set in two separate time lines, 1965 and present day. I enjoyed the present day more than 1965…that is…until the end. It all comes together with a big gasp or two or three!

This story is complicated and emotional. The tension in both timelines will have you absorbed completely into this haunting tale. The mystery and the buried secrets will have you engrossed until the very end. And to tell you the truth…this story will stay with you for a while. I went into a reading slump after this!

Jane is a travel nurse. She is currently working at a ski resort. She is leaving work one day when a storm comes up and traps her and one other person, Levi, in the gondola. This is quite a dangerous situation. So, due to the dire circumstances, Levi ends up lying to his mother. He tells her he found “the one”. Since these two survive this horror in the gondola…It looks like Jane now has to pretend for Levi’s family.

I loved both of these characters, Jane and Levi. And I especially loved how they met. The gondola scene is one of my favorites out of the whole book. It just set the tone for their whole relationship.

If you follow my reviews at all, you know I love Jill Shalvis. She has quickly become one of my favorite rom com authors. This book is an excellent example of this genre with snarky comments and fantastic characters with super chemistry.

Dani has been cheated on by her fiancé. She is royally hurt and has decided to get revenge. She and her friends purchase the lot next to her fiancé’s new house. They plan to build a vacation rental to ruin his view. It is the perfect revenge…Spite House.

Now, I am not a fan of what Dani has planned, but I have to say…it is a hilarious revenge. Dani is not dumb and she uses her intelligence to get the best revenge possible. I love her talent and ingenuity.

I absolutely fell in love with Wyatt from the very first. He is a bit mysterious and big time gentleman. Plus, there is such magnetism between Wyatt and Dani. This made the whole book…in my opinion. The author nailed their interactions and relationship.

This is such a cute novel. I love Rachel. She is such a go getter. And she tries so hard to do the right thing….right down to when she does the wrong thing. Then there is Camden. He is electric! When these two get within 10 feet of each other, sparks fly!

This story hit me at just the right time. I needed a funny romance to get me through my work week! This one took me away and planted me right in the middle of Camden and Rachel! A great escape!
