There is so much I want to say about this tale. Just read the dang book! You will not be sorry!
The time period is amazing. I had no idea of the beginnings of the Tudor line. I knew some of it but not that it began with a Welshman named Owain ap Maredudd ap Tudur. And he is very prevalent in this novel.
Then there is Eleanor. I had never heard of her. So this book had me down so many rabbit holes. But she is truly fascinating. And let me tell you, she was a smart lady. During my research about her, I do think she is very much fictionalized in this novel. But dang, it makes for a great read! (I mean it was 1400, most of the stuff is speculation anyway!)
To say I loved this novel is an understatement! I love learning and discovering history. And this ending!! I must visit Peel Castle on the Isle of Man!
Plus, there is a great bibliography. I am adding quite a bit of those to my list.
Need a novel that just might get you stuck on a different time period…THIS IS IT! Grab your copy today.
I received this novel from the publisher for a honest review.
