About The Book:
Constance Haltwhistle has three days to save her ancestral estate.
Constance is the last in a line of blue-blooded rogues in 1897 Yorkshire. Selling illegal firearms under her alias the “Brass Queen,” she has kept the coffers full. Due to an archaic law, however, she will lose everything unless she does the detestable…find a noble husband.
Torn between high society and the underworld, Constance throws herself a lavish coming-out ball to attract a suitable spouse.
Enter the thoroughly unsuitable and utterly frustrating US spy, J.F. Trusdale.
Tall, dark, and almost handsome, Trusdale is shadowing an imperial scientist who has developed an invisibility serum that could change the spy game forever.
She knows a liar when she sees one. He knows a fraud when he meets one.
Constance must find a husband or she is going to lose all her inheritance. Such a stupid law! She has been selling illegal firearms to stay afloat. so, she does what she has to do. She throws herself a lavish party in hope of meeting a new husband. Instead, she meets US spy scientist, J.F. Trusdale. Constance may have met her match…in more ways than one.
Well, this was not at all what I was expecting. It is a steampunk romance. I do not think I have ever read one of those. As a matter of fact…I avoid them at all costs. But to tell you the truth, this was just plain cute!
Constance is a hoot! She is tough and just a bit strange. Add in the American scientist, Trusdale, and their antics will have you laughing one minute and rolling your eyes the next!
Need a strange romance with a kick…This is it! Grab your copy today.
I received this novel from the publisher for a honest review.

“With a satisfying bite, this steampunk venture includes an insightful twist on the British Empire, making frequent nods to Queen Victoria’s bloodthirstiness and the era’s inequitable treatment of women. Best of all, Constance stays center stage: a feisty, lovable heroine who is capable of rescuing herself, thank you very much.”–Foreward Reviews
